My work stems from the encounter between two ways of understanding the world: the precision of engineering and the freedom of art. For years I have understood that these two languages are not opposed; on the contrary, they complement each other to reveal new possibilities for creation, transformation, denunciation, and communication.

 

Each work begins with an exploration of matter. Fragments of canvas, paper, pigments, and reclaimed materials cease to be isolated elements and become part of a new composition. In this process, cutting, rearranging, and reconstructing do not represent a gesture of rupture, but rather the possibility of giving new life to that which seemed to have completed its cycle.

Transformation is not merely a plastic resource; it is a way of understanding the human experience and our constant capacity for reconstruction.

 

In series like Fragmentation and Reconstruction, the creative process is just as important as the finished work. Each composition begins as a painting, is then deconstructed, and finally reconstructed using oil, acrylic, and mixed media. This process transforms apparent destruction into an act of creation, where change ceases to be seen as loss and becomes an opportunity.

 

My work is, in essence, a permanent investigation into memory, transformation, and the ability of art to reconstruct what seemed fragmented, reminding us that even the vestiges of the past contain the potential for a new beginning.
